In 2020 The Radley Triathlon aka the Good Fri Tri will be back in Abingdon for the 10th time. The event will take place on Friday the 10th of April after taking a break in 2019. The last Radley Triathlon In 2018, saw over 400 people take part in the race and you can secure your place in the 2020 race now.
The route will take you through the scenic surroundings of the Radley College grounds and the local area. The swimming element of the race is pool based making this a triathlon that is well suited to all levels of ability. The race also has both a novice and sprint distance to choose from, making the race both challenging for experienced triathletes and approachable for first timers.
As a novice taking part in this fun race, you will swim 200m, cycle 11km and run 2.5km. The fun part of triathlons, of course being, you get to do a little bit of everything! It is a varied running route with both cross-country sections and a finish on a purpose-built athletic track. The cycle route will take outside the college grounds, around the countryside for some breath-taking views.
There can be many reasons why you would want to take part in a Triathlon. Getting in shape, love for all three sports, challenging yourself, raising money for charity or perhaps stepping out of your comfort zone? Whatever your reason this event will suit your needs.
